Our Easy Process

The best way to determine if a Reverse mortgage is right for you involves having a discussion about your individual situation.  This involves topics that include, current retirement assets, marital status, projected retirement income, cash flow needs and overall retirement goals. Each homeowner is unique and the Home Equity Conversion mortgage is a powerful tool to address cash flow, spousal protection, tax minimization, aging in place, retirement asset growth, retirement goals and net legacy considerations. We follow an easy step by step approach as follows:

 

1.  Reverse Mortgage Exploration call - We start our process with either a phone call, or better yet, a Zoom meeting to learn more about you, and why you're considering a Reverse Mortgage.

2.  Reverse Mortgage Solutions Video - After our initial exploratory call, we will build you powerful financial projections that provide you with specific details on how this loan can meet your specific needs.  Once these projections are created, we will record a personalized video and explain your options.  This video will then be sent to you to watch the video at your pace as many times as you like.  As you watch it, we suggest you have a pen and paper handy to take notes and write out any questions.  If you like, this video can be shared with children, advisors, or anyone else you may want to be involved in the process.  

 

3. Reverse Mortgage Follow-up call - We will get back together (via phone or Zoom) after you've had a chance to review your personalized video to answer your questions, and provide more clarity around the details provided.  If there are any revisions you like to consider we can easily make those changes and resend you another video.  At this point, our focus is on making sure you have a clear understanding of how the options presented, meet your specific needs.  We realize that it may require additional time to think about which option will best meet your needs and we are always happy to answer all of your questions. 

 

4.  Counseling - Once you are comfortable with a reverse mortgage solution, we will initiate the application process and provide you with a list of approved counselors.  Counseling must be completed prior to processing your application.  For your protection, this counseling process is specifically intended to be provided by an independent 3rd party and we are not allowed to direct you to any specific counselor or participate in it.  It's about a 1 hour process that can be handled over the phone or in person, whichever you prefer.  This counseling fee is the only upfront initial cost that you will incur before making a final decision to proceed.

 

5.  Reverse Mortgage Implementation - Once the application and counseling have been completed, and your file has gone through underwriting, your Reverse Mortgage will close.  After closing you will be able to take advantage of the benefits your Reverse Mortgage provides.  You are more than welcome to contact us in the future if you have any questions about your new Reverse Mortgage.
